Antiseptic Wipes and Swabs Recalled
Several lots of over-the-counter benzalkonium chloride swabs and antiseptic wipes have been recalled by the distributor because they may be contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia. The microbe could cause infection, particularly in people with compromised immune systems. Dukal Corporation, who issued the recall, says the products are sold individually or come as part of kits.
