U.S. Gets Ready for the Affordable Care Act

By Joe Elia

Hospitals and clinics near you are doubtless doing their best to plan for January, when the Affordable Care Act mandates that everyone either have health coverage or pay a penalty.

The New York Times says it will look in on Louisville, Kentucky, over the next months to follow the city's preparations. Over the weekend, the Times's first story in the series focused on a struggling nonprofit clinic, whose staff and patients wonder whether things really will change.
