About the NEJM Journal Watch Dermatology Board

Angelica Selim, MD, is Associate Professor of Pathology and Dermatology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She joined the Duke faculty in 1999, upon completion of a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Harvard Medical School. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. Her research interests include melanoma and mycosis fungoides, and she is a member of the International Society for Cutaneous Lymphomas and the Cancer and Leukemia Group B. However, her true passion is teaching. She is the director of the dermatopathology fellowship at DUMC and has coordinated and directed courses and seminars for medical students, residents, and practicing pathologists. Dr. Selim joined the NEJM Journal Watch Dermatology board in 2003 and served until the publication’s closure in 2016.
