Hooman Kamel, MD, is Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and trained as a neurology resident and neurocritical care fellow at the University of California, San Francisco. He has published studies in leading journals in the fields of neurology, stroke, and critical care, with a focus on stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation and the health economics of stroke prevention. Dr. Kamel was an Associate Editor of NEJM Journal Watch Neurology from 2010 to 2016.
