Stuart Sherman, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Radiology, Director of ERCP, and Clinical Director of the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He is a member of the Governing Board of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). His research interests include the application of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and sphincter of Oddi manometry to diseases of the pancreas and biliary tree, methods to lower ERCP-related complications, and development of ERCP techniques and technologies. He has authored or coauthored more than 250 publications and was a speaker at the NIH State of the Science Conference on ERCP. Dr. Sherman served on the editorial board of NEJM Journal Watch Gastroenterology since the publication's launch in 2000.
