About the NEJM Journal Watch Women's Health Board

Dr. Rebar is a reproductive endocrinologist and obstetrician-gynecologist. Before assuming his current positions as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo, Michigan and Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Grand Rapids, he served as Executive Director of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the largest professional society devoted to reproductive medicine. He has a volunteer clinical appointment at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Throughout his career, Dr. Rebar has been active in both basic and clinical research and has published extensively, with special interests in ovarian failure, hypothalamic forms of amenorrhea, and menopause. Dr. Rebar wrote for NEJM Journal Watch General Medicine from 1998–2013 and has been a Contributing Editor since 2009 and an Associate Editor since 2013 for NEJM Journal Watch Women's Health.
