Why isn’t my username recognized when I try to sign in to the new site?
One of the changes on the new JWatch.org site is that your e-mail address will replace your current username for sign-in. The first time you sign in to the new JWatch.org, you will be asked to change your username to your e-mail address. Once you have done that you will sign in with your e-mail address going forward. Your old username will no longer work. If you continue to experience problems, please contact Customer Service.
Why is my username/password combination that used to work not working now?
For individuals, the new site requires a unique e-mail address for each account. If you had multiple accounts on the site using the same e-mail address, your accounts may have been merged into a single account. You may log into the site using your e-mail address as your username. During the account merge, your most active account became your primary account. It is that primary account's password that will now work during sign-in. If you do not remember your password, or if the password you enter does not work, please use the Forgot Password? function to reset it. Once you log in and confirm your account, click on the Account tab in My Account to verify your profile data. If you continue to experience problems, please contact Customer Service.
For institutions, you will continue to sign in with a non-email account as your username. If you continue to experience problems, please contact Customer Service.
Will my username and password remain the same?
The new JWatch.org requires individuals managing a personal subscription or registered user account to use an e-mail address to sign in. If you currently use your e-mail address as your username, nothing will change for you, but you will be asked to confirm your account the first time you sign in.
If you are managing an account that is not a site license or institution print account and your JWatch.org username is not your e-mail address, you will be asked to change your username to your e-mail address the first time you sign in.
Either way, account confirmation is a very simple process that will allow you to confirm your information and create your account.
I have forgotten my password—how can I retrieve it?
From any JWatch.org page, click on the “sign in” link in the upper right corner of your screen. Then click on the “forgot password?” link in the sign-in box that appears. An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your account with instructions for resetting your password. Your password should be 6 to 20 characters long.
I can’t remember my username or e-mail address.

What does the "Remember me" check box do?
If you check this box you will be automatically signed in to JWatch.org the next time you visit from the computer/device from where you signed in. Your browser must be set to accept cookies in order to use this option. If you use a shared computer, the Remember me function is not recommended.
